Ian C Peake is a doctor, a former teacher, a once-and-always ecologist. He lives in rural Scotland with his partner, a black Labrador called Echo, various fowl, and two cats who have yet to show any interest in a canine-coded literary project.
He writes stories about the dignity of the overlooked, the long, shared walk between humans and dogs, the other small lives that anchor us.
His weekdays belong to the city, most other times he can be found outside, where the animals are.
